Spirito Luminoso

My aim is to represent the living impulse that exists in the world.

Carla Accardi

A cooperation between the two protagonists had been announced for some time. The first musical collaboration as a duo on October 18th, 2025 in Munich was unfortunately cancelled due to unfortunate circumstances. Our alternative was for Sergio to send me 5 vibraphone solo pieces, to which I would communicate with a selection of my wind instruments. Some identical ‘basistapes’ are interpreted by me with different wind instruments.

Since a real encounter has not yet taken place, a virtual connection from Munich to Milan exists, I have named the titles of the pieces after towns and mountain passes that lie in the linear connection of the cities from north to south in the alps, in the hope of soon coming together physically.

All recordings are realtime - not edited.

The end result is very convincing and interesting.
Each CD contains 5 tracks, named after places that
inspired them. Sergio's sound is very rich, filling the
space totally. Udo adds beautiful ornaments to the
flutes, clarinets, and soprano. Also, sometimes on the
cornet. There is absolutely no impression of the remote
and delayed connection and collaboration. The music is
as if it were created in a duo conversation.
